Soulja Boy Has Joined Kick And Stated That He Is ‘The New Face’ Of The Platform

Soulja Boy is moving forward with his livestreaming plans on Kick.

On January 19, the artist known for “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” went live to announce his partnership with the Twitch competitor. He stated, “We live right now on Kick.com … It’s official, I’m Kick’s partner,” and encouraged audience interaction as viewers joined the stream, declaring, “I’m the new face of Kick.”

According to AllHipHop, the deal is exclusive, and there have been screenshots circulating on social media that are said to show contract details. The publication mentioned that discussions surrounding multi-million dollar figures have emerged on TikTok, but no reliable confirmation has provided a specific amount.

Soulja Boy adds to the growing list of notable names on Kick, which is aiming to compete with Twitch. The platform’s most prominent signing is xQc, who reportedly agreed to a two-year contract worth $70 million, with potential incentives that could increase the total to $100 million. Other significant deals have often kept financial terms undisclosed, even as Kick actively seeks out creators with large audiences.

Kick presents itself to talent with a clear proposition: higher earnings and support from the platform. It offers a leading 95/5 subscription revenue split, in contrast to Twitch’s typical 50/50 split, although Twitch does provide improved split options for certain creators. Additionally, Kick integrates clipping capabilities into its player, enabling logged-in users to create clips from live streams or VODs, edit them, and add titles. The platform also advertises 24/7 support through its help center.

During his livestream, Soulja Boy portrayed this transition as a reset and a return to his internet roots. He committed to staying active until 2026 under his Ocean Gang brand, and he alternated between nostalgic references and displays of confidence, reintroducing himself as a personality suited for dynamic interactions.

He also improvised a rap about being live on Kick instead of Twitch and humorously mentioned that Kick experienced an immediate increase in subscribers.
