Alicia Andrews Has Been Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For The Murder Of Foolio

Alicia Andrews, who was found guilty of manslaughter related to Foolio’s death, has received a 15-year prison sentence.

On May 22, Andrews appeared in a courtroom in Tampa, Florida, where her sentence was announced. After Judge Kimberly Fernandez quickly denied her request to appeal the conviction, she sentenced Andrews to 15 years in prison.

“After reviewing all of the defense’s arguments regarding alleged errors made by my predecessor judge, I want to state for the record that I would not have ruled any differently,” Judge Fernandez remarked.

The sentence was delivered following a victim impact statement from Foolio’s mother, Sandrikas Mays.

“My son was hunted, followed and ultimately murdered in what authorities described as a coordinated plot involving multiple individuals. It is extremely painful to hear Alicia Andrews portray herself as someone who didn’t know what was going on,” Mays said in court. “They could have turned around, but they still carried on the plan to hunt my son down like a deer in the woods…My son’s life mattered. He was not disposable.”

Four other men tried for murder in this case—Sean Gathright, Isaiah Chance, Rashad Murphy, and Davion Murphy—were found guilty by a jury on May 8. However, the jury decided against the death penalty. They are set to be sentenced on June 22.
