Mr. P Addresses The Jude Okoye $1 Million Lawsuit

Nigerian music artist Peter Okoye (Mr. P) has made significant statements in the Lagos State High Court trial concerning his elder brother, Jude Okoye, who is accused of misappropriating $1 million.

Peter disclosed that both he and his twin, Paul Okoye, are co-signatories on the Northside Entertainment Limited bank account, which contradicts his previous assertion that Jude was the sole controller of the company’s finances.

While testifying before Justice Rahman Oshodi, Peter indicated that Jude was the only signatory initially but that he and Paul were added to the account at a later stage.

“Although I am a co-signatory, I have never personally signed cheques or managed transactions,” Peter stated in court.

This acknowledgment occurred during cross-examination by defence attorney Clement Onwuewunor, who presented official bank documents to challenge Peter’s earlier account.

Peter also discussed the ongoing dispute surrounding the P-Square music catalogue, asserting that the nearly 100-song collection is exclusively owned by him and Paul.

He emphasized that Jude was not an original member of the duo, having become their manager around 2004 or 2005 without any formal written agreement.

The court has scheduled the next proceedings for May 15, 2026, for further continuation. The situation has drawn attention from P-Square fans, with mixed opinions regarding the family and financial disputes. Paul Okoye has publicly supported Jude, reflecting the intricate dynamics among the Okoye siblings.
