Young Thug Is Set To Release An R&B Album

Young Thug is preparing to release an R&B album.

On Wednesday, Thugga posted a video on his Instagram Story from the gym, in which he stated, “R&B album coming soon.”

He also mentioned, “I gotta get this sh*t all the way together,” while looking at his reflection in the gym mirror.

His last album, UY Scuti, was released in September and came nearly a year after his release from prison on probation following a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, which was the longest trial in Georgia state history. The album included collaborations with artists such as Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Ken Carson, Cardi B, T.I., Sexyy Red, YFN Lucci, Quavo, and Lil Gotit. UY Scuti debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 52,000 copies in its first week. It followed 2023’s Business Is Business.

In 2026, Thug has been active on features, contributing to tracks by 6lack, Trippie Redd, Nav, and Fred Again…. In April, The New York Times recognized him as one of the greatest living songwriters, alongside Jay-Z, OutKast, Kendrick Lamar, and Missy Elliot.

It appears that Young Thug may be exploring a different genre for his upcoming release.
