Tumi Musiq – Many Phases ft. Pfunzo Strings, AJ SafeSax & Sai Mabaso

South African producer and DJ Tumi Musiq presents “Many Phases,” a collaboration that features Pfunzo Strings, AJ SafeSax, and Sai Mabaso, contributing a refined element to the Amapiano genre.

The track was officially released on August 7, 2026, following a rise in interest stemming from snippets that circulated on social media. Released under Sound African Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment Africa, the song aims to expand Tumi Musiq’s audience.

Instead of adopting the bass-heavy style typically associated with Amapiano, “Many Phases” embraces the more sophisticated Private School Piano sound.

Tumi Musiq and his collaborators produce a smooth, atmospheric track that fits both casual listening and more refined Amapiano experiences.

With its incorporation of live instruments and high-quality production, “Many Phases” provides a fresh perspective on contemporary Amapiano, highlighting the increasing creative complexity within South Africa’s piano movement.
