Trial Date Scheduled For Pooh Shiesty, Big30, And Co-Defendants In The Alleged Kidnapping And Robbery Involving Gucci Mane

A trial date has been established for Pooh Shiesty, Big30, and seven co-defendants regarding the alleged kidnapping and robbery of Gucci Mane.

On May 19, Senior United States District Judge David C. Godbey approved a pre-trial order that scheduled the trial for July 6, with a final pretrial conference set for July 1. The prosecution is required to provide the defendants with all evidence in the case by June 1.

This announcement follows the not guilty pleas entered by Pooh, Big30, and Pooh’s father two weeks prior. All nine individuals involved are currently in custody and may face life sentences if found guilty.

The accusations suggest that the group lured Gucci Mane to a recording studio in Dallas in January under the pretense of conducting business and recording music. Allegedly, during the session, Pooh displayed an automatic weapon and coerced Gucci into signing a contract release form at gunpoint. Other individuals purportedly stole jewelry, cash, and other items from Gucci and his associates.

Pooh Shiesty and the others were arrested in April after a raid was conducted at the rapper’s father’s home in Tennessee.

Additionally, last month, Pooh Shiesty’s lead attorney, Bradford Cohen, withdrew from the case. He will be succeeded by Dallas-based attorneys Dan Cogdell and Kent Schaffer. Cohen has stated that he believes there are significant weaknesses in the prosecution’s case and is optimistic about Pooh’s chances of overcoming the charges.
