Grammy-winning R&B artist Tems, whose real name is Temilade Openiyi, has discussed the challenging beginnings of her music career, recounting an instance of public embarrassment during a school performance.

In an interview with Big Boy TV, the “Crazy Tings” singer shared her experience of expecting applause but instead facing boos and having plastic bottles thrown at her.

“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receive a standing ovation. But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,”

she said.

In other developments, the “Damages” singer made a noteworthy comment while appearing as a guest on the Korty EO Show, hosted by content creator Korty EO. During a light-hearted conversation, Tems was asked to describe what love means to her, and her response generated considerable discussion.

She stated,

“Love is like when you have seen the person Yansh widely opened and you are like, I still want it.”

Her candid and humorous remark quickly gained traction online, prompting debates, laughter, and surprised reactions.
