Shoreline Mafia, OHGEESY & Fenix Flexin – ROCKIN

Shoreline Mafia ROCKIN

Shoreline Mafia remains an oft-overlooked driving force within West Coast hip-hop. There is no doubt that they have been recognised. Despite their success, their catalogue of popular songs still seems to be underappreciated. They make it clear just how important they are to the Cali rap scene right from the start of their new music video.

The lyrics quote 2Pac directly, who said, “It wouldn’t be L.A. without Mexicans, Black love, and Brown pride in the sets again.” Once it vanishes, their latest single “ROCKIN” shifts into high gear. It’s not a shock that it’s an infectious banger, and the beat plays a significant role in its success.

The track prominently samples 80’s dance pop singer’s famous hit, “Funky Little Beat,” and maintains a high-energy atmosphere throughout. The bouncy, string-laden instrumental perfectly complements it. Shoreline Mafia have no issue addressing it as they rap about their female artists, their influence on the streets, and their success.

This song is really energizing and the whole state should be embracing it as it continues to gain popularity.

This marks the continuation of their recent positive trend. In May, they featured on a high-energy track by YG titled “HOLLYWOOD,” where the artist targeted Diddy and Joey Bada$$$. In addition, they will be embarking on their upcoming headlining tour, known as the Back In Bidness Tour. The event begins on July 3 and continues until October 23. Their comeback album, which shares the same title, marks their first collaborative effort in five years.
