West Coast rapper OhGeesy, who has achieved multi-platinum status, releases his newest single, “Babygirl,” which includes a collaboration with Lil Tjay. The track, released through 300 Entertainment, reworks Fabolous’s 2003 single “Can’t Let You Go,” combining a nostalgic feel with a contemporary twist. Babygirl’s catchy tune and polished sound, crafted by Diego Ave, are generating significant buzz as a potential frontrunner for song of the summer.
The single precedes the release of Paid in Full, which is OhGeesy’s first full-length project following the 2023 album Geezyworld 2. His second album expands upon the success of his 2021 debut, Geezyworld, which Pitchfork described as a quintessential work. Geezyworld 2 reached a significant career turning point by premiering at number two. Ranked second on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The standout single “Geekaleek,” featuring Cash Kidd and BIA, peaked at No. 25 on Billboard’s Rap Airplay chart.
