Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 – Problems ft. Kabaka Pyramid

Nigerian artist Seun Kuti and his band Egypt 80 have released a new collaboration titled “Problems,” featuring Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Kabaka Pyramid. The track was officially released on July 29, 2026, and offers a mix of Afrobeat and reggae while emphasizing themes of unity, resistance, and social awareness.

The song features hypnotic rhythms, rolling percussion, a prominent bassline, and notable horn arrangements from Egypt 80. It blends Seun Kuti’s strong vocal performance with Kabaka Pyramid’s impactful lyrics. Produced by Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective and engineered and mixed by Riley MacIntyre, the track addresses issues of systemic injustice and the challenges faced by marginalized communities worldwide.

“Problems” is also included as the B-side of a collector’s 7-inch vinyl, with the A-side featuring “Na Dem,” a politically charged collaboration between Seun Kuti and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. Prior to its global release, the song was previewed live during SWS Session 001, recorded at Soundwall Studios in Rome and premiered by Billboard Italia.

Those interested in Afrobeat combined with reggae influences and meaningful lyrical content may find “Problems” to be a notable addition to their music collection.
