Megan Thee Stallion has been hospitalized after experiencing health issues during the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

Reports indicate that the Houston rapper was taken to a hospital in New York City on Tuesday night (March 31) after becoming quite ill during the performance. Emergency services reportedly responded to a call from the Al Hirschfeld Theatre regarding a person having difficulty breathing, though the specific details of Megan’s health issue have not been confirmed.

Loren LoRosa, a co-host on The Breakfast Club who was present at the show, mentioned that the performance was interrupted and Megan was removed due to her condition. In a post on social media, she expressed her disappointment, noting that Megan was performing well in the initial scenes before the show was halted. Audience members were informed to remain inside and seated while awaiting updates on the situation.

LoRosa later tweeted that Megan had been removed from the performance for the remainder of the night, with the announcement coming from the theater staff. Her role was subsequently filled by another actor, and attendees were assured that the show would continue without Megan.

Megan’s hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, confirmed the incident and encouraged followers to keep Megan in their thoughts as she underwent treatment.

It remains uncertain whether Megan Thee Stallion will return to the stage for Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She made her debut in the production on March 24 and was slated to perform as Zidler until May 17.

Nonetheless, Megan has been achieving significant milestones outside of her music career in recent months. Earlier this year, she opened her first franchise of Popeyes in Miami and was announced as the face of True Religion’s Spring 2026 campaign alongside fellow rapper Key Glock. Additionally, she secured a guest-starring role in the NBC sitcom The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, which stars Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe.
