LUCKI & Lil Yachty – I Don’t Care

LUCKI is continuing the rollout for his next studio album, DR*GS R BAD. The Chicago cloud and trap rap artist is doing so with the track “I Don’t Care…” featuring Lil Yachty. It’s a reunion of sorts, as these two artists haven’t recorded a song together since their 2021 release “Greed.”

This could possibly be the fourth release from it and out of all the samplers we’ve heard, it may rank highest. The instrumental’s woozy and wavy quality will grab your attention immediately, primarily due to its dreamy, plugg melodies and sparkling keys.

Lil Yachty and LUCKI also deliver exceptional verses, freely expressing their raw thoughts with confidence and casualness. The feature’s verse is a blend of humorous and serious tones, particularly in the bars. “I look at all my peers like, ‘If I have it, then you should have it’ / I looked at both my parents like ‘I’m grateful that you both made me’ / My daughter said to me, ‘Daddy, I hate when you’re not around’.”

According to a press release, fans can anticipate hearing ‘DR*GS R BAD’ this autumn. The exact date is not yet known. This project should essentially meet and exceed the expectations we have come to associate with LUCKI. Despite being off-putting to some, the singles have been consistently solid.
