Lil Double 0 & LUCKI – Ace V2

Lil Double 0 is a rising rapper hailing from Memphis. He’s signed with the Future’s Freebandz label, joining the list of its most recent signings. Since joining in 2021, he’s already released three projects, with Walk Down World being his first formal album in 2022.

Lil Double 0 returns with his new single “Ace V2,” a remix of his song “Ace,” now a collaborative effort with LUCKI, a well-known Chicago rapper who has also collaborated with Future on several occasions. The track is a hit song, and the two of them work well together.

The song is centered around the streets, featuring numerous allusions to their adversaries and discussions of firearms. LUCKI delivers the stronger verse of the two, as Lil Double 0’s role on the track appeared to be primarily providing the hook rather than anything else. His own verse is four bars long, with a hook that is twice as lengthy. “I won’t allow any RICO to get the upper hand, I’m going to sneak up on something,” Double 0 raps on the hook.

LUCKI’s verse contains typical themes for the rapper, featuring references to narcotics, females, and deceased homies, as one would anticipate. “She claims she caught me with that prostitute, she’ll be going to prison then / Guys get entangled in their own problems, they create their own mess then,” he raps at the end of his verse. LUCKI delivers a decent performance that doesn’t leave a lasting impression. They sound pretty good together on that track. The Quality backdrop is also provided by the Rocaine & Big Z Legacy-produced beat. Watch their song together below.
