The viral bucket list attributed to Kanye West is not authentic. On December 29, the rapper refuted claims regarding the 36-item list, which included goals such as “write a book” and “make my own shampoos.” He clarified, “That so-called bucket list is fake. It’s not my handwriting,” in a post that was later deleted. In another tweet responding to a repost by Complex, he stated, “This list is not real.”

Regardless of its authenticity, the list featured various intriguing travel plans, including trips to South America, a drive from Los Angeles to New York, visits to the Taj Mahal, and the pyramids in Egypt. Some of the more unusual aspirations were “swim with sharks” and “climb a volcano.”

These posts from West marked one of his first interactions on social media in some time, other than tweets promoting his upcoming performances in Mexico and Italy. He has, however, been seen in public.

According to Rap-Up, the Chicago native attended Deon Cole’s show at the Hollywood Improv on December 27. Accompanied by his partner Bianca Censori and John Monopoly, West received a warm welcome from Cole, who acknowledged him in his set, asking the audience to appreciate their guest and inquiring if West had enjoyed the evening.

West also mentioned that he is working on a “new album,” likely referring to the long-awaited BULLY.

Despite a limited release of new music in 2025, the film In Whose Name? premiered in September, featuring appearances by Drake, Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk, Pharrell, and others.

The film’s synopsis indicates that “the camera never blinks as Ye speaks candidly about living with bipolar disorder, offering rare insight into the realities of mental illness and its impact on identity, perception, and power.” It explores how mental health issues are addressed—or often left unaddressed—amidst the pressures of visibility and vulnerability.
