Megan Thee Stallion may require Tory Lanez to give sworn testimony in her defamation and cyberstalking case against YouTuber Milagro Cooper. On February 24, Monday, the Grammy Award-winning rapper’s legal team submitted a motion seeking an in-person questioning of the Canadian singer.

Court documents, obtained by legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, indicate that a deposition from Mr. Peterson, also known as Lanez, is required. Megan instructs Pete to thoroughly examine the scope and foundation of Defendant’s actions and the connection between Defendant and Mr. Peterson in order to justify her allegations. The filing referenced three instances in which courts permitted the depositions of prisoners whose testimony was deemed pertinent.

Notably, Cooper has no objections to the deposition proceeding. If a judge gives approval, Lanez will be questioned by Megan’s lawyer either via video conference or another method that will be arranged as agreed upon with the California Correctional Institution, where the “Say It” artist is currently housed.

The proposed order that has been submitted for the judge’s signature. It’s likely to be granted, particularly with no opposition form Lanez’s or Milagro’s lawyers.

Details Have Emerged About Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawsuit Against Milagro Substations

Megan alleges that Cooper is acting as a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Lanez, who is presently serving a 10-year prison term for shooting the Houston rapper in 2020. According to the lawsuit, the blogger conducted a targeted smear campaign, which included spreading false information, insults, belittling remarks, and denigrating the musician, as well as committing acts of cyberstalking, the intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invading the musician’s privacy.

The most alarming charge is that Cooper intentionally and with ill intent distributed a deepfake pornographic video of Megan. “She’s faced numerous character assaults stemming from fabricated stories spread by social media writers posing as journalists,” she stated to Billboard in a statement. “It’s unacceptable conduct and those responsible must comprehend that there will be consequences for carelessly sharing fabrications and libelous inaccuracies.”

A five-year restraining order against Lanez was granted by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Bloom in January. The order will continue to be in place until January 9, 2030, shortly following the DAYSTAR artist’s eligibility for parole.
