Investigators claim that Pooh Shiesty and the others lured Gucci Mane to a Dallas recording studio under the pretense of making music. During the session, Pooh allegedly brandished an assault rifle and demanded that Gucci sign a document releasing him from his 1017 contract. Following this, the men allegedly robbed Gucci and his associates of cash, jewelry, and other valuables.

Gucci Mane referenced the incident in his song “Crash Dummy,” released in April, shortly after Pooh and his co-defendants were arrested.
