Fenix Flexin’s Viral Song ‘Rubberz’ Has People Convinced It’s AI

Fenix Flexin’s recently released song “Rubberz” has sparked discussions regarding whether it was generated by AI, which he denies, affirming that it is his genuine work.

The member of Shoreline Mafia dropped the single, produced by Purps on the Beat, on June 5. The track features his unique rhyming style set against a backdrop reminiscent of 1980s Miami Vice. There are widespread beliefs among listeners that the vocals might not be his real voice.

One commenter expressed a desire for a live performance to verify its authenticity, stating they would recognize his talent if proven genuine. Another suggested that he may have requested AI to create a song in his style. Additional comments reflect skepticism, with some stating that many recent songs are being labeled as AI-generated.

In response to these doubts on June 9, Fenix clarified in the comment section that the recording process was the same as his previous music, noting the only differences were the use of auto-tune and a playful fake UK accent.

Recently, Bootleg Kev relayed that Fenix confirmed the song is not AI-generated. In an earlier January interview with XXL, Fenix mentioned his efforts to evolve his musical style.

Fenix has been actively engaging with fans by performing “Rubberz” in clubs and during interviews. A video shared by Instagram user @ajrobledo10 showcases him performing the viral track.
