Big30 Granted Pre-Trial Release In Gucci Mane Robbery Case

Big30 has received pre-trial release in connection with the Gucci Mane robbery and kidnapping case.

A judge reversed an earlier decision that categorized him as a flight risk, leading to his previous custody without bond. This decision was made on Thursday (June 4), as indicated in court documents obtained by XXL.

“The Court finds that the Government has failed to establish that Wright is a flight risk or that the conditions of release imposed by Judge Christoff will not reasonably assure the safety of any person in the community,” the ruling states. “Accordingly, the Court denies the government’s motion. The Court vacates any stay of the release order.”

Initially, Big30 was granted a bond of $100,000. However, federal prosecutors argued successfully that he should remain in custody until trial, citing a pending lucrative record label deal that could facilitate his escape.

This update regarding Big30’s pre-trial status follows the release on bond of Pooh Shiesty’s father. Pooh Shiesty himself has been denied bond and remains in federal custody. All three individuals have pleaded not guilty.

They are among nine men accused of kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane and others at a Dallas recording studio in January, allegedly forcing Guwop to sign a contract release form under threat of a firearm. If convicted, they face the possibility of life in prison.

The trial is currently set for July 6.
