Adekunle Gold Discusses His Preference For Peace Instead Of Conflict

Afrobeats artist Adekunle Gold, also known as AG Baby, has shared his reasons for avoiding controversy, emphasizing that maintaining peace of mind is more important to him than engaging in conflicts.

In a recently circulated video, Gold discussed his personal philosophy, stating that he chooses to live quietly and free from trouble. He expressed a lack of interest in unnecessary confrontations, preferring to enjoy a stress-free life.

“Some of us, we just don’t like trouble. In fact, I don’t want to be near it. I just want to live,”

he remarked.

Gold attributed this perspective to a strong self-awareness, noting that he recognizes his temperament and knows when it’s best to remain silent and restrained. He acknowledged that his tendency to speak candidly influences his decision to avoid impulsive reactions.

“Me, I know myself. My mouth is not good at all. Anybody who knows me knows my mouth is not good. So I don’t even want to say anything out of regret. I’d rather just step away,”

he explained.

He clarified that his preference for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, emphasizing that avoiding conflict does not mean he is incapable of defending himself when necessary. He pointed out that maturity sometimes involves choosing calmness over chaos.

Gold also questioned those attracted to conflict, encouraging them to reconsider their outlook on life and to choose peace instead.

“What is your mind like? Why do you not like peace? Why do you not like peace of mind? Why don’t you just walk away?”

he inquired.

His remarks have led to discussions online, with many fans appreciating his viewpoint as a reminder that personal growth often manifests in the ability to walk away rather than react.
