Davido Plans To Return To School For A Master’s Degree

Nigerian artist Davido has announced his plans to return to academia by pursuing a master’s degree in political science in the United Kingdom next year.

In a recent livestream, he casually discussed his educational goals while engaging with fans online.

Davido clarified that he will not be studying at Adeleke University, contrary to what some followers had assumed due to his family’s connection to the institution.

“I want to do my Master’s next year,” he stated.

When asked if the program would take place at Adeleke University, he responded: “No, in the UK, a one-year course in Political science. I have my BSc already.”

He added that the program would follow the standard one-year structure typical of many master’s degrees in the UK.

The announcement has generated a range of reactions online, with fans commending the artist for emphasizing education alongside his successful career in music and business.

Davido has previously expressed pride in his academic achievements. In 2022, he earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Adeleke University after studying business administration at Babcock University.
