50 Cent is facing a lawsuit from a former employee who alleges retaliation, harassment, and witness intimidation.

Monique Mayers, who worked as a senior operations executive for 50 Cent’s business ventures for 12 years, filed a complaint claiming she was wrongfully terminated after refusing to engage in illegal activities. She asserts that following her dismissal, she experienced retaliatory acts and harassment from 50 Cent.

In her lawsuit, Mayers states that she was employed by 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, during his Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 2015. She alleges that he instructed her to conceal property in her name to mask his involvement in a transaction tied to the bankruptcy. Mayers also claims she was asked to file a false police report against 50 Cent’s driver for theft.

Mayers contends that she was fired in 2019 as retaliation and that this led to Forbes retracting a significant feature about her. She reports receiving over 80 incidents of harassment via phone and text messages from more than 25 different numbers from 2019 until April 2026, which she believes was an intimidation campaign.

Mayers’ attorney, Bennitta Joseph, stated that Curtis Jackson has crafted a public image as “50 Cent” connected with well-publicized conflicts, but the allegations in the complaint reflect serious real-life repercussions. She claims these actions have had detrimental impacts on personal and professional lives, particularly creating a lasting fear for Mayers’ safety.

In response, 50 Cent’s attorney, Reena Jain, denied the allegations in Mayers’ complaint. She stated that he was terminated for cause in March 2019 and that he has not received formal documentation related to the lawsuit. Jain emphasized that the lawsuit appears to have been shared with the press before it was officially filed, suggesting it lacks merit and aims to attract media attention at 50 Cent’s expense.

Jain characterized Mayers as a disgruntled former employee seeking unjustified financial gain and pointed out that she is represented by an attorney currently involved in separate litigation against 50 Cent. She asserted that 50 Cent takes threats seriously and claimed his legal counsel had encouraged Mayers to report any alleged threats to authorities.

Jain also mentioned that 50 Cent’s counsel had proactively notified law enforcement regarding these threats to ensure a thorough investigation and expressed confidence in defending against the claims, anticipating a swift dismissal of the case.

Mayers is requesting a jury trial, a permanent injunction against 50 Cent to prevent further intimidation or harassment, and unspecified damages along with her attorney fees.
