Jay-Z Announces Special Anniversary Performances At Yankee Stadium In New York City

JAY-Z will perform live this summer as he commemorates two of his notable albums. He has scheduled a two-night event at New York City’s Yankee Stadium in July to mark the anniversaries of Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, which celebrate 30 and 25 years, respectively, this year.

He will honor the 30th anniversary of his debut album, released in 1996, on Friday, July 10, and will perform again on Saturday, July 11, to recognize his 2001 album.

It is not yet known if he will have any special guests, but given the prominent artists who contributed to both albums, there may be some surprises during the shows.

His last full concert took place three years ago, when he performed a special set in tribute to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

Additional ticket information will be provided soon.

This announcement follows JAY-Z’s recent booking as the headliner for the 2026 Roots Picnic festival in Philadelphia on May 30, indicating a potential musical resurgence.

The Brooklyn-born artist will take the stage with The Roots, 25 years after their well-known MTV Unplugged performance.

Rumors about his return to music intensified last month when he released the original version of “Dead Presidents” on vinyl and streaming platforms for its 30th anniversary.

He has also reverted to his original stage name spelling, JAŸ-Z, and created the website JAYZ30.com, suggesting that further anniversary events may be forthcoming. Several rare singles, including “Wishing on a Star” from 1998, have also been reissued.

There is speculation that the 56-year-old may release a new album this year, particularly following recent comments from his longtime associate, Memphis Bleek.

“I was just with him in Vegas … I said, ‘Listen, I know you’re working. Save me a verse.’ He was like, ‘Aight, I got you,’” Bleek shared on Drink Champs last August.

Additionally, New Yorker Cash Cobain mentioned to Billboard weeks later, “I heard JAY-Z’s about to drop some shit that’s gon’ shake the world.”
