Lil Kesh Responds To Viral Video Of School Bullying

Nigerian singer Lil Kesh has addressed a distressing video that went viral, depicting students from Igbinedion Education Centre bullying a classmate.

The footage, shared widely on social media, showed two male students physically assaulting another student who was on the ground while others watched. At one point, one of the attackers pulled the victim by his school uniform and stomped on his chest as the victim cried out in pain. A third student, who recorded the event, was heard asking the attackers to stop.

The video prompted significant outrage on social media, leading to calls for accountability. Lil Kesh remarked that the clip brought back painful memories from his own childhood. He expressed his anger over witnessing such behavior, as he had also been bullied in his youth.

He pointed out the underlying psychology of bullying, suggesting that those who engage in bullying often lack empathy and grapple with their own insecurities. Lil Kesh further emphasized the importance of parents teaching their children values of kindness and empathy, stating that this behavior usually stems from a deeper issue.

In the wake of the public outcry, the Edo State Police confirmed that the students involved have been expelled from the school. Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem revealed that the state Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has directed the Divisional Police Officer to initiate a thorough investigation.

The Edo State Police Command condemned bullying, violence, and intimidation among students, assuring that those found responsible would face legal consequences. This incident has reignited discussions about school bullying in Nigeria, with both social media users and celebrities calling for more stringent measures to protect vulnerable students.
