Young Thug’s ‘UY Scuti’ Debuts At Number Six On The Billboard 200 Chart

The sales figures are in for Young Thug’s UY Scuti. According to Billboard on Sunday, October 5, the rapper’s fourth studio album initially entered the charts at number one. Reached number 6 on the 200 chart.

The week’s second-largest debut occurred, trailing Doja Cat’s Vie by a couple of positions at No. 4. The publication reports that UY SCUTI sold 52,000 album-equivalent units. Of the total, 39,000 originated from on-demand streams, with the rest being pure sales. The rollout comprised several digital versions that included bonus tracks, accompanied by standard deluxe boxed sets.

The decline is undoubtedly a significant one from BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, which was released in 2023 and debuted at No. Two units with 89,000 units. Although being fair, the new album had just two singles (“Money On Money” featuring Future and “Miss My Dogs”) and was delayed a week beyond its originally scheduled release date.

Cardi B’s AM I THE DRAMA? has slipped down the chart and is currently at No. 3. The Grammy Award-winning rapper collaborated with Young Thug on “On The News” from his album, which also included numerous collaborations. He enlisted artists such as Mariah the Scientist, Ken Carson, 21 Savage, Lil Baby and YFN Lucci.

Highlights included “Ninja,” where Thugger used the N-word with the hard R in a contentious manner, and “Dreams Rarely Do Come True,” which saw him direct a shot at Gunna, while UY SCUTI also received a deluxe update on October 3. The Supernova Edition included seven additional songs, featuring a collaboration with Lil Keed.

Young Thug announced during a recent livestream with Adin Ross that he will tour in support of the album. He announced plans to start touring at the beginning of the next year. I’m going to take a couple of people. The only confirmed individual to date is Quavo, who featured on “Spider or Jeffery.” The “Digits” hitmaker also hinted at the presence of “a lot more top-tier” acts on the full roster.
