Young Thug Proposes To Mariah The Scientist During ‘Hometown Hero’ Concert

Mariah the Scientist is now engaged. Young Thug proposed to her on the evening of December 16 during his benefit concert titled “Hometown Hero: Young Thug & Friends” held at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

During the event, Thug went down on one knee and asked her, as shown in footage shared online. “What do you say, baby?” he inquired, with “Will You Marry Me?” displayed on a large screen behind them. Mariah responded affirmatively, signaling for him to place the engagement ring on her finger.

Later, the artist known for HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY shared with the audience, “I guess I’m getting married,” eliciting cheers as the couple shared a kiss.

Thug’s proposal came just a few days after Mariah expressed her desire to marry. In a conversation with Angie Martinez backstage at Power 105.1’s Power Sessions on December 13, she stated, “I want to be married.” She also mentioned wanting “at least one” child and emphasized her preference for marriage before starting a family.

Thug and Mariah, who have been together since 2021, have hinted at their intentions to move forward for some time. In November, Thug told reporters that he had “put a baby in” her. A few weeks later, during a discussion on Complex’s “GOAT Talk,” Mariah mentioned she was experiencing “baby fever.”
