YFN Lucci Believes Gunna Needs To Explain Himself For Accepting The Plea Deal, He Says: “It’s Your Man”

YFN Lucci believes Gunna should clarify his situation regarding taking a plea deal in Young Thug’s RICO case.

On Friday, October 17, during Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday Podcast,” the rapper behind “Heartless” expressed his opinion that Gunna should address the situation. Lucci stated that while the decision is ultimately up to them, he believes the One of Wun artist ought to provide some clarity to the public, or at least to Thugger.

I think he should discuss it, you know what I mean? Lucci expressed the feeling that people want to hear his perspective. It feels like Thug wants to know how he feels and understand his perspective.

Lucci stated that Gunna claimed he had been tricked or something similar. Although the Atlanta native isn’t convinced that the “fukumean” rapper “just snitched on a guy,” he does think he “kind of threw a guy under the bus.” Gunna’s Alford plea cannot and will not be used as evidence against Thug in a court of law.

“He’s your guy, so you owe him an explanation,” Lucci added. He also tried to think how Thug might feel about the situation: “You’re not going to say anything to me, damn?” You’re not going to tell me anything, are you, kid? You have caused me pain.

Lucci later stated that Gunna should contact Thug rather than both of them “rapping about each other and other things.” On September’s UY Scuti, the YSL Records founder notably mentioned Gunna’s “police a**” on “Dreams Rarely Do Come True.”

Newton asked Lucci in another part of their conversation if he regards Gunna as a “rat.” The world itself can answer that question. I’m not going to get into that. I haven’t got anything against him. I don’t know them.

Thug has publicly discussed the current state of his relationship with Gunna on multiple occasions since his release. Recently on the “It’s Up There Podcast,” he mentioned that despite their love for each other, there is a reason they can’t be as close as they once were: “It’s going to be awkward.”
