Ye Is Set To Return To His Hometown Of Chicago To Perform Two Shows

Ye has announced two shows in Chicago scheduled for September.

On June 15, Yeezy released several new performance dates on his website, including two consecutive shows at Soldier Field, which has a capacity of 63,500, on September 3 and September 4.

Ye last performed in Chicago during his Donda listening party in 2021, resulting in nearly a five-year absence from the city.

Along with the Chicago shows, a date for San Antonio has also been added. In the coming months, Ye is set to perform in previously announced locations including Tampa, Spain, Portugal, and Albania. The concert in Albania is scheduled for July 11 at Air Albania Stadium, which has a capacity of 22,500. However, for this event, a temporary stadium is reportedly being constructed to accommodate up to 60,000 attendees.

The design of the venue will resemble the large half-globe that Ye used in his recent concerts in Los Angeles earlier this spring.

In a statement regarding the concert, the Prime Minister’s Office in Albania informed local news outlet BIRN that the decision to host Ye’s performance was driven by economic considerations.

“It is our responsibility to welcome and facilitate the development of events that provide significant benefits to tourism and the economy,” the ministry stated, stating that the concert “will have a substantial impact on the promotion of tourism and the local economy.”

Ticket information for all performance dates can be found on Ye’s website.
