Wizkid To Headline Detty December Fest 2026

Afrobeats artist Wizkid will return to Lagos this December as the first headliner for the 2026 Detty December Fest. He is scheduled to perform on December 18, marking the opening night of the two-week entertainment festival, which will run until December 30. The event will celebrate music, culture, fashion, food, and various forms of entertainment in Lagos.

Livespot360, the entertainment company known for producing significant international music events in Nigeria, is organizing the festival. Tickets for the 2026 edition are currently available, and more performers are expected to be announced as the festival approaches.

Wizkid’s performance will be one of his notable homecoming shows following a relatively quiet year. Earlier in 2026, he collaborated with Asake on an EP and explored various cross-genre projects with other artists.

This performance comes after a busy 2025 touring schedule in support of his 2024 album Morayo, which achieved No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart. He has continued to grow his repertoire through collaborations with artists like Tyla and Ayra Starr.

This year’s festival will also see the addition of a second performance stage, called the Pulse Stage, which will showcase emerging talents alongside established artists. This change aims to provide a broader platform for younger performers and enhance the festival’s role in promoting African talent on a global scale.
