Wizkid Leads Global All-Time Sales Ranking For African Artists

According to data released by ChartMasters, the Grammy-winning singer has achieved 13.18 million equivalent album sales worldwide, which positions him at the top among African artists in the platform’s ranking.

ChartMasters noted that these figures are generated using its CSPC (Comprehensive Sales Plus Consumption) methodology.

This methodology aggregates performance across various formats — including physical album sales, digital downloads, streaming equivalents, singles sales, and album track consumption — with each format weighted to reflect its contribution to overall music consumption.

This accomplishment comes during a period when the singer’s 2026 chart run remains strong. His recent collaboration with Asake, titled “Jogodo,” has led the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs chart, remaining at No. 1 for 46 days. The track also topped the UK Official Afrobeats Chart for five weeks and concluded February as the most-streamed Nigerian song of the year so far.

The momentum has also carried over to their joint EP, REAL, which has surpassed 80 million streams on Spotify, further emphasizing Wizkid’s consistent digital appeal.

In addition to recent releases, the Afrobeats artist continues to achieve significant global streaming milestones. He was recently included in Billboard’s list of the 100 greatest pop songs of the streaming era, making him one of only three African artists featured. In another significant milestone, Wizkid became the first African artist to exceed 10 billion streams on Spotify, highlighting the sustained worldwide demand for his music.

For fans and industry observers, the ChartMasters ranking serves as confirmation of the long-recognized notion that Wizkid’s influence extends beyond borders, and his commercial impact remains a driving force for African music on a global scale.

Wizkid’s total of 13.18 million reportedly includes figures from his studio albums and other long-form releases, such as compilations and singles, as well as streaming data accumulated across his catalog.
