Wizkid, DJ Tunez, And DJ Maphorisa Disclose A Surprising Collaborative Project

Wizkid is scheduled to release a collaborative project with DJ Tunez and DJ Maphorisa following the release of Morayo.

The arrival of new music from Wizkid in 2025 is far from over as confirmation has been made that the Nigerian singer will release a project comprising of three new songs featuring two prominent African disc jockeys, namely DJ Tunez and Maphorisa.

DJ Tunez, a well-known DJ and music producer, has now released the track listing for his highly anticipated project called South Gidi.

Taking to the formerly known as Twitter today, Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Nigerian-born star shared three songs that will be featured on the project, titled Money Constant, Fiesta Forever, and Abangani.

The announcement, marked by the presence of the South African and Nigerian flags and a heart emoji, showcases the project’s collaborative and cross-cultural nature.

South Gidi is anticipated to be a fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano, the primary musical genres currently dominating global radio stations and highlighting the strong musical ties between Nigeria and South Africa.

DJ Tunez, known for consistently releasing songs over the years, including collaborations with Wizkid and Fola on ‘One Condition’ and Terry Apala on ‘Apala Disco’, is expected to return to the largest stages with this project.

So far, the project hints at delivering an exhilarating experience through the snippets that have been heard, and it also promises to provide a sonic experience that captures the vibrant energy of both South Africa and Nigeria.
