Megan Thee Stallion has officially entered the wine and spirits industry. The “Bigger in Texas” rapper marked her 30th birthday by introducing her highly anticipated tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas, which translates to “fun girls” in Spanish.

Pre-orders for blanco begin on Saturday, February 15, and it is Megan’s preferred choice for a smooth pour, boasting citrus flavours and undertones of rosemary and green tea that come together for a “silky-smooth finish.” Reposado was created for slow sipping. This combination incorporates caramelized agave, American oak, and various cooking spices to achieve a more refined conclusion.

In a press statement, Megan explained that as a person who prioritizes good atmospheres and wonderful recollections, she had made up her mind to craft a tequila that was intended to be shared and appreciated with her close friends. Characterised by a sophisticated, seductive, and high-end quality. It has taken several years of hard work to get to this point, and I’m deeply proud to embark on the next phase of my entrepreneurial path by introducing this new brand.

The Grammy Award-winning artist made a bold statement with the bottle design, which is arguably one of the most impressive seen from a rapper in recent years, drawing significant inspiration from the alluring yet poisonous flower known as Angel’s Trumpet. The crown showcases a heart pierced by a dagger, symbolizing the brand’s motto, as described by Megan, which is “Keep it cute, classy and cut-throat.”

The Chicas Divertidas Move Was The Most Authentic Branding Choice Ever Made

Megan’s tequila business aligns perfectly with the other ventures she has pursued beyond her music career, following notable moments like her viral “drive the boat” sensation in 2019 and her roles as the “Cognac Queen” and “Bourbon”. Unlike certain other beauty collaborations and one-off food ventures that other artists have been involved in over the past few years, the Houston-based star is clearly capitalizing on her existing talents.

The concept behind Chicas Divertidas was influenced in part by Beyoncé, who had introduced her own SirDavis whisky brand the previous year. In a July interview with Shannon Sharpe for the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Megan shared the conversation that initially sparked her journey: “As much as I previously enjoyed cognac, and I had promoted many people’s liquor brands, she then said, ‘The next time I see you, you need to have your own alcoholic beverage.’ I suddenly thought to myself, ‘You know what?’ You’re absolutely correct, Your Majesty. I’m going to have my own thing.
