EeZee Conceptz, a Nigerian record label owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as EeZee Tee, has issued a response to the claims made by gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.
In a recent petition, Eezee Conceptz disputed Mercy’s assertions, alleging that she had channelled funds into her personal bank accounts at the height of her career.
The petition claims that Mercy Chinwo skipped scheduled events, leading to disagreements and harming the company’s reputation. Eezee Conceptz alleged that Mercy was passing on excessive costs to churches and shifting the blame to the record label.
The music producer also claimed that Mercy Chinwo had allegedly ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to transfer approximately $274,000 (N500 million) into her personal account.
Eezee Conceptz has disputed Mercy’s allegations that the record label attempted to renegotiate a new contract following the expiration of their original five-year agreement. The label claimed that Mercy initiated the lawsuit, and they were consequently required to have the matter resolved in court.
The petition signifies a substantial intensification in the public dispute between Mercy Chinwo and Eezee Conceptz, with each side levelling severe accusations.
