Tyla Announces Her First Headline Show In Lagos

South African musician Tyla is set to bring her A*POP World Tour to Nigeria, with Lagos confirmed as one of the significant stops on her inaugural global headline tour.

The Grammy-winning artist is scheduled to perform in the city on December 22, though the venue has not yet been announced.

The Lagos concert is part of Tyla’s extensive 34-date A*POP World Tour, which was announced on Monday to support her second album, A*POP, released on July 24. The tour, presented by Live Nation, represents Tyla’s largest international effort to date and her first headline run that includes Europe, North America, and Africa.

For fans in Nigeria, this announcement marks an important milestone in Tyla’s emerging career. Having spent recent years building a global following, the singer is now set to headline in major cities around the world before concluding her tour in Africa.

The tour will kick off on October 12 in Paris, followed by various European cities such as Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.

Tyla will then travel to North America, beginning that segment on November 12 in Sacramento, with additional shows planned in San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago, Boston, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

Lagos will be the first stop of the tour’s African segment. After the performance in Nigeria, Tyla is anticipated to perform in Cape Town on January 4, 2027, before wrapping up the African leg in Johannesburg on January 9, 2027.

This upcoming tour represents a significant advancement from her prior live performances. While her We Wanna Party Tour in 2025 was focused solely on Asia, and earlier appearances largely served promotional purposes, the A*POP World Tour is her first comprehensive headline tour across multiple continents.

Fans interested in attending the Lagos concert will not have to wait long for ticket sales. Artist presale tickets will be available on Wednesday, July 29, and general ticket sales will begin on Friday, July 31, at 10 a.m. local time, with further ticketing information accessible through Tyla’s official channels.
