The Big Hash Discusses Nearly Giving Up On His Music Career In Rap

Concerns have been raised among fans of South African rapper The Big Hash after he discussed his difficulties within the music industry.

The star took to formerly Twitter, known as X, and revealed he is on the verge of walking away from music altogether.

“Honestly, I’m almost at the point of throwing in the towel when it comes to music.” His comments prompted a significant response on the internet.

As a teenager who achieved fame, the rapper looked back on his path and the obstacles he has encountered since then.

Individuals often forget that I entered this industry at a relatively young age, yet I have been here for a considerable amount of time. I’ve witnessed countless individuals and periods in time go on past me. This morning, I came across a comment under my new song on YouTube that made me pause and reflect. Bro told me I’m talented, but guys like me won’t become rich. Did he tell a lie?

Hash acknowledged early in his career that he made errors, attributing his loss of support to his own arrogance.

When I was younger, I was extremely egotistical and had a very inflated sense of self-importance. Possibly the last claim has some truth to it in a literal way, any goodwill I had with those who backed me from the start, I’ve ruined. I owe everyone here an apology. Regardless of how many excellent records I make, people remain unimpressed.

He also made it clear that he accepts responsibility for his mistakes.

“I did that to myself, which is fair enough.” Other things beyond my control also interfered, but I’m choosing not to discuss them; this is about taking responsibility for my own decisions, not for those who caused me harm. I’m not saying I don’t struggle, I wake up every day striving for my goals.

Hash concluded his series of tweets with a bittersweet promise to his followers.

The question is whether all of these are just illusions. It may not have been intended for me. It may be. I’ll leave that part to you all. I’ll drop the tape because I owe it to each and every one of the people who’ve been with me through everything. We’ll see what happens then. Then we’ll see what happens. ❤️”

The public’s outpouring of support for him was in response to his honesty, which encouraged fans to urge him not to abandon his efforts.

You won’t give up on something you’re truly passionate about. Rome was not constructed in a single day, so be patient.

Just when your career is about to reach new and unprecedented heights, you might be thinking of giving up. By all means, keep going. There’s no artist I know who can command a microphone the way you do, this talent is innate to you.

Not everyone was feeling hopeful, though, as rapper Usimamane bluntly wrote: It’s time to wrap things up at 25.
