Tay-K Seems To Engage With Rumors Regarding His Potential Release From Prison

Tay-K appears to be fueling speculation regarding his potential release from prison.

On June 9, a video was posted on his Instagram, showing what seems to be him being welcomed by several individuals as he enters a car. However, the figure revealed is an animated version of the rapper.

This video was shared nearly two weeks after his sister, Kayla Beverly, posted a video where she ended a phone call with a contact listed as “Taymor’s Attorney.” After the call, she mentioned to a woman who seems to be Tay-K’s mother, “Your son coming home.”

Tay-K further contributed to the rumors by tweeting, “It’s true,” shortly after.

XXL has reached out to Tay-K’s attorney for a statement.

In 2025, Tay-K was sentenced to 80 years for murder related to the death of Mark Anthony Saldivar, who was shot in a Chick-Fil-A parking lot in San Antonio in 2017 while the rapper was evading capture. This sentence runs concurrently with a previous 55-year sentence for murder and aggravated robbery connected to the 2016 murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker.

He also has an ongoing case for the assault and robbery of Skip Pepe in Arlington, Texas, in 2027, which occurred while he was still at large for the 2016 murder.

Tay-K’s current projected release date is August 8, 2099, although he is eligible for parole in 2049.
