Central Cee has embraced the quarter-zip trend.

On November 24, the “BAND4BAND” rapper transitioned from his Nike Tech fleece to a quarter-zip sweater, a choice that many young men across social media have been making recently. In a TikTok video, Cee filmed himself enjoying EsDeeKid and Rico Ace’s “Phantom” in a parking garage while drinking a matcha.

Although he did not include a caption, the comments section was filled with humorous responses. One commenter noted, “Nike Tech’s most loyal person just switched up,” while another joked, “I can smell the prices of quarter zips skyrocketing right now.”

One user remarked, “Central Cee in quarter zips before GTA 6 is crazy,” and another referred to him as the “performative final boss.”

For those unfamiliar, Cee is known for his loyalty to Nike Tech apparel. In February, he claimed to have inspired Americans to wear them. He stated, “Me, I’m humble innit… But at the same time, I like to think that man put a lot of man on to the Nike Tech thing.”

He added, “You see the influence. Even like in America, people be rocking the Techs like they’re us.”

In January, Cee released his debut album, CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS, which consists of 17 tracks and features artists like Lil Baby (“Truth In The Lies”), 21 Savage (“GBP”), and Skepta (“Ten”). Many fans had anticipated a collaboration with Drake on the album, but the artist felt that would have been too predictable.

“I don’t like it when people can guess these kinds of things right away,” he told “FunX” radio host Fernando Halman. “A lot of people didn’t see it coming that Drake is not on the album.” However, Cee later collaborated with the Canadian artist in July on the track “Which One.”
