Skhwele Sesoka – Tribute scebi ft. Iqadi, Idlabisi & I Tourist laseNquthu

The Maskandi community gathers to remember on “Tribute Scebi,” an emotional release from Skhwele Sesoka featuring Iqadi, Idlabisi, and I Tourist laseNquthu.

Released on August 12, 2026, the track pays tribute to the late Maskandi artist Scebi “Inkos’yamagcokama” Dlamini, who died in a car accident in Richards Bay alongside a member of his stage crew.

Skhwele Sesoka unites various Maskandi voices to transform their loss into a collective expression of mourning. The artists employ traditional guitar-led instrumentation and powerful Zulu storytelling to reflect on Scebi’s passing, extend condolences, and honor his legacy.

The record embodies the emotional character typical of Maskandi storytelling. Instead of merely focusing on sadness, “Tribute Scebi” offers a space for remembrance, allowing the contributing artists to express their grief while supporting Scebi’s family, supporters, and the broader amaGcokama community.

Distributed through DistroKid under 6982558 Records DK, the song serves as a heartfelt musical memorial. “Tribute Scebi” is more than just a tribute track; it represents a collective farewell that preserves the memory of an artist who significantly impacted South African traditional music.
