Shallipopi Calls On Dapper Damm To Resolve Ongoing Dispute

Nigerian singer Shallipopi has reiterated his criticism of music executive Dapper Damm as their ongoing disagreement regarding alleged unpaid earnings continues to draw attention.

The singer utilized X to challenge his former label boss to address the accusations directly instead of allowing the matter to fade from public discussion.

Shallipopi expressed his willingness to have an open conversation, seeking to properly address the issues surrounding his earnings and other concerns.

In one of his posts, he urged Dapper to confront the situation, stating that repeated occurrences should not be dismissed as isolated cases.

“Once it’s a mistake. Two times is a coincidence. Three times it’s a pattern. Dapper, come outside right now.”

He later posted another emphatic message, indicating his determination to see the dispute resolved.

“

I would rather d!e than allow this case to d!e down. Come out, let’s talk face to face.”

These remarks follow Dapper’s recent response to allegations raised by Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, and other former artists associated with him.

Shallipopi also mentioned that he had submitted evidence related to the dispute to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), suggesting he prefers the allegations be formally investigated rather than remaining confined to social media discussions.

Additionally, he claimed that his situation is not unique, alleging that several other artists have faced similar unresolved issues with Dapper. According to Shallipopi, nearly ten artists have raised concerns regarding their dealings with the executive.

He further asserted that Dapper has avoided direct communication with him since 2024, claiming that previous attempts to resolve the matter privately were unsuccessful.

Dapper maintains that he has nothing to hide and that the records concerning the allegations are already with the relevant authorities.

“I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth.”

The executive has also rejected the claims made by his former artists, alleging they have presented what he describes as false narratives and asserting that those who left his label did so voluntarily.

With both parties holding their positions firmly, the dispute appears to be extending beyond social media dialogue, shifting attention to the evidence and any formal proceedings that may eventually clarify the situation.
