Nigerian singer Portable has faced significant criticism online following the release of a video in which he makes strong political statements.

In the video, the singer warns about the implications of political allegiance, suggesting that those who do not support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu might face serious repercussions. His comments, which included references to traditional deities, have attracted widespread concern on social media.

Additionally, Portable claimed to have connections with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), mentioning that he had received party-branded items and indicated plans to distribute food to supporters soon.

He stated, in part, “If you don’t want w@r in Nigeria, you better vote for Tinubu, na thun d£r and 0gun go keyyy any Yoruba man that doesn’t vote for Tinubu. I’ve been signed and they’ve given me APC cloth, don’t worry, very soon I’ll share rice and vegetables oil for you all.”
