NND International – Love back

Maskandi duo NND International has released a new song titled “Love Back.”

The structure of the Maskandi sound is notable. Although some legendary artists have passed away, their influence remains strong as contemporary Maskandi musicians draw from their legacy. One example is Mgqashiyo Ndlovu, a Maskandi veteran who died in the early 2000s. Over twenty years after his passing, his music continues to resonate not just in traditional Zulu settings but throughout the South African music landscape.

Young artists like NND International are influenced by such legends, studying figures like Mgqashiyo Ndlovu and his distinctive singing style, then incorporating their own interpretations and modern elements. The outcome of NND International’s efforts has been a series of impressive productions.

“Love Back” is their latest release, featured on their new album of the same name. The song revolves around an emotional theme, expressing the desire to be needed, loved, and appreciated.
