NGHTMRE, A$AP Ferg, & Bekon – Torch

NGHTMRE has returned with “Torch,” an artist known for collaborating with a diverse range of acts, including Gunna, the late PnB Rock, Zacari, and The Chainsmokers. The veteran producer is reuniting with A$AP Ferg and collaborator Bekon for this project. This marks the lead artist’s first release of 2025 and comes after a string of remixes. This release follows his solo album DRMVRSE, which was released in 2023. The track is characterized by its high energy and motivational vibe, and it boasts an extremely catchy “light it up” refrain. Ferg’s solo vocals on the track were a sensible choice.

The iconic and powerful beat transports us back to the era of Trap Lord. His energetic adlibs and deep bass delivery heighten the intensity level on “Torch.” Ferg’s lyrical delivery conveys a sense of direct address to someone who has lost faith in their own potential and the meaning of life. “Life has slowed you down / Your body is experiencing problems / Your mind is struggling to cope / It’s warning you to give up.” He introduces the concept of a “Torch” in the chorus, which serves as a kind of savior. It appears to have the potential to enable individuals to live a more satisfying existence. Ferg is also looking to assist his adversaries with the same situation.
