NBA YoungBoy Says He Wants To “Quit”: Here’s Why He Keeps Going

It may be a difficult moment for fans when NBA YoungBoy decides to retire. According to his recent i-D Magazine cover story, he seems to be feeling fatigued with his music career.

In an interview published on October 6, NBA YoungBoy discussed his career, personal challenges, and his desire to leave music, even though he continues to produce. He stated, “I want to quit right now, actually. But all of this… It’s way bigger than me. I just want to make people happy, and if I can’t do that, then I just want to stay out of the way. I feel like my W will be shown through my kids, you know? It’s not about money or any of my own achievements. If you were to meet them right now and say to me, ‘I think you did a great job,’ that’s the win. That’s the motivation that keeps me going. I just want my kids to be happy and willing to do whatever it is they choose to do in life.”

NBA YoungBoy is recognized as one of the most successful rappers of his generation. His statements suggest a sense of responsibility, as well as a strong work ethic that has contributed to his success. His latest album, Slime Cry, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart last January, marking his 17th Top 10 album in a career spanning nearly a decade. He has received over 120 Gold and Platinum plaques from the RIAA.

While NBA YoungBoy has expressed a desire to step back from music, his fans appear to hope he will continue creating. More details from his recent interview can be found in the publication.
