Nardo Wick – I Wonder

Nardo Wick I Wonder

Nardo Wick operates at a single tempo. The Florida-based rapper delivers intense lyrics over music that resembles utter mayhem. The key factor, however, is Wick’s hushed and menacing tone of delivery. Unlike some of his fellow Floridians, he doesn’t raise his voice over the music. “I Wonder” is a classic illustration of the Nardo Wick method in action. The single clocks in at just over two minutes and features the artist delivering a rapid-fire sequence of increasingly intense lines with a smooth, uninterrupted flow.

The distinction between Nardo Wick’s songs can be quite subtle. While some of them become repetitive, others prove to be on target. “I Wonder” is a fortunate example of the latter. The instrumental is extremely intense and brutally forceful. The bass is enormous in size, and the synthesiser leads nostalgically recall the trap scene of a decade past. Wick alludes to Future’s iconic “Wicked” track and raises doubts about the true intentions of those surrounding him. The title originates from this reason. “He’s speculating about what he did to earn her affection.” “She’s been understanding me a lot more lately, but initially it was a crush.” Nardo Wick’s latest song is another successful track in his discography. Fans of his previous work will likely enjoy this one.
