Megan Thee Stallion Isn’t Thinking About Love After Klay Thompson Split

Megan Thee Stallion is currently not focused on romantic relationships following her breakup with Klay Thompson. In her recent cover story with Marie Claire, the Grammy-winning artist expressed that dating is not on her mind as she processes her feelings about the end of their relationship.

When asked about her thoughts on love at the moment, she stated, “I’m not thinking about anything romantic. I’m definitely not thinking about no damn relationship.” This marks a shift from her earlier attitude this year when she announced their separation in April, citing alleged infidelity.

Rather than bypassing the emotional turmoil, Megan mentioned she is allowing herself to fully experience the range of emotions that accompany the conclusion of a significant relationship. “I’m not pretending I’m 100 percent okay,” she admitted. “I ain’t never been through nothing like that in my whole life. I’ve never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever,” she added, indicating that she will not pursue new relationships for a considerable time.

She described feeling “in shock” after the abrupt end of the relationship, which she revealed on social media over five months ago. Reflecting on the breakup, she noted that it may have been beneficial, as she felt she was in a constant state of panic. “I feel like that’s what I was in, constantly on edge. My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24/7,” she recalled. She also mentioned struggling with her eating habits and emphasized the importance of experiencing the full spectrum of her emotions.

Megan and Thompson publicly shared their relationship last July, and there were moments that suggested a long-term future together, such as her cooking for his family during Thanksgiving and their various outings.

She reflected on the importance of trusting her intuition in relationships, stating, “Sometimes I be knowing in my gut and in my heart, then you give so much benefit of the doubt. The gut is always right. Listen.”

Megan’s recent experiences may serve as inspiration for her upcoming music project, ACT III, which many hope will be released by the end of the year. A snippet from her music shared in June included lines indicating a strong stance on her current outlook: “All that wifey s**t is dead / Put that s**t to bed.” It remains to be seen which tracks will make it onto the final album.

Regardless, anticipation builds for the new album, and fans look forward to seeing how she continues to move forward in her career and personal life.
