Magixx Reveals Surprising Insights In Promoting His Debut Album, “I Dream In Colour

Nigerian musician Alexander Adelabu, who is known professionally as Magixx, has made several unexpected disclosures during a promotional tour for his upcoming debut album, I Dream In Colour.

Speaking to X, the artist signed with Mavin Records revealed that the final track on the album was motivated by a traumatic incident involving a childhood friend who had previously threatened his life. He claimed the final track on his album was motivated by a childhood friend’s threat to have him murdered.

Magixx provided insight into several tracks on his debut album and the sources that influenced them. He has disclosed that he is currently seeing three women, and track number three is in their honour. The creation of track number 3 can be attributed to my incredible three female friends. I’d rather not address you all directly, but I think it’s clear what you’re aware of. He posted “I love you” on Twitter.

He also stated that the songs Bad Decisions and Foreplay were inspired by Veeiye, a former Big Brother Naija housemate.

Following this conversation, Magixx mentioned that his meeting with Nigerian rap legend Olamide Baddo sparked the inspiration for track 12.

The artist also previewed track 8, indicating he believes it will lead to comparisons with renowned Afrobeats artist Wizkid. He jokingly informed music producer Don Jazzy that if he ever gets married, he would sing the song at his wedding. The musician jokingly stated that he would be the performer for Track 8 at Don Jazzy’s wedding if he ever falls in love.

Online, Magixx’s revelations have caused a substantial stir, with fans eagerly awaiting the release of I Dream In Colour and the narratives behind each song.
