Lotus, the highly anticipated album from Little Simz, was initially scheduled to be released on May 9. Due to her involvement in an upcoming film, she has been forced to delay the release of her sixth studio album to June 6.

The well-known British rapper revealed the news on her Instagram on 1st April, dispelling the notion it was an April Fool’s prank. Unfortunately, the time for releasing my album has been delayed due to a scheduling conflict with a movie that I’ve just been offered to star in. It’s not something I’d be comfortable with either, and I’ve explored alternative methods, but unfortunately, that’s just not an option for making the film,” Simz explained.

In that same address, the 31-year-old woman stated her intention to release more test drivers from Lotus to compensate for the delay. She promptly fulfilled her earlier pledge, issuing the third installment, “Young,” just a short time ago.

Compared to “Flood” and “Free,” the atmosphere of this track is distinctly less somber. Young people discard their raw emotions in favor of a lighter attitude.

It finds Little Simz rapping like a posh but brazen UK granny about what it’s like to be 20 something adult still learning the ropes of life. Her performance matches the music video precisely, as she’s wearing numerous prosthetics to resemble the character she is portraying in the song.
