Nigerian gospel artist Limoblaze has shared a notable backstory about Afrobeats star Omah Lay, indicating that he helped him upload his first song to streaming platforms and hoped to guide him toward gospel music.

This revelation followed a question on X that asked users to share seemingly unbelievable yet true stories from the music industry. In response, Limoblaze stated:

“I showed Omah Lay how to do his first upload of his music to streaming platforms and I was hoping to gradually influence him into making Jesus music. I never give up.”

His post generated various reactions, with some users curious if there was more to the story. However, the gospel singer later clarified that there was no hidden drama.

“Lol there’s no full gist. We were boys, I always thought he was a special talent & told him I was sure he was going to blow up and did my best to support him and I was right cos he blew up,”

he added.

In addition to his connection with Omah Lay, Limoblaze reflected on his long-standing relationships within Nigeria’s music scene. He shared that he was friends with Ckay, remains close to Johnny Drille, and had lived briefly in Skales’s house.

He also noted he once had a respectful

conversation about faith with rapper Blaqbonez, while referring to R&B star Banky W as family.

These revelations illustrate an interconnected industry where friendships and support systems are more significant than fans might realize, and where early encouragement can play a crucial role in the emergence of future stars.
