Lil Peep – heaven sent

It has been nearly ten years since the passing of Lil Peep, an influential artist from the SoundCloud generation. His estate continues to release new music, including the recent single “heaven sent.” Producers Smokeasac and Yung Cortex have reimagined Brand New’s “Okay, I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don’t” into a nighttime-inspired instrumental likely to appeal to Peep’s fans. Although “heaven sent” is short, the performance by the Pennsylvania native evokes a sense of nostalgia despite its minimalistic elements. While this sound is familiar to those who know his work, it underscores the unique aspects of his artistry.
