Lil Baby Refers To DJ Akademiks As The Feds In New Music Video Clip

Lil Baby referred to DJ Akademiks as the feds in a recent music video, prompting a response from Ak.

On June 8, a video emerged showing Lil Baby in France filming a music video where he criticized Ak, rapping, “Forget Akademiks, that guy is the feds.”

In response, Ak tweeted, “Half of Atlanta rappers have been recorded telling the cops, including many he still calls ‘TWIN.’ Is this guy foolish? If I’m the feds, then Young Thug is the lieutenant I report to.”

The conflict between Lil Baby and DJ Akademiks has persisted for several years, escalating when Ak criticized Baby’s music before the release of his album, It’s Only Me, in 2022. Following this, Baby dissed Ak in his songs “From Now On,” featuring Future, and “Top Priority.”

Ak later stated he would testify against Baby after rumors suggested the rapper was under police investigation. Their issues continued into 2024 as they exchanged insults online.

Earlier this year, tensions rose again when Lil Baby’s assistant, K Rich, claimed to have slapped Ak during an encounter. Ak affirmed that Rich attempted to slap him but claimed the blow did not land.

“Listen, Lil Baby, forget it,” Ak said during a stream discussing the incident. “I won’t even address K Rich. Just forget it.”

There were discussions about a boxing match between Lil Baby and Ak to resolve their differences, but this match never took place.
