Here are highlights of Davido’s performance at the 2026 Coachella festival, which began on Friday.

Nigerian artist Davido performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on Saturday, April 11, marking his debut at this prominent music festival after a previous scheduling conflict in 2019 prevented an earlier appearance.

His set lasted from 7:50 to 8:35 p.m., featuring a range of Afrobeats hits supported by dancers and a live band. The audience was engaged throughout the 45-minute performance, which included a mix of his popular songs. A notable moment occurred when Davido invited Adekunle Gold to join him on stage for a medley featuring “High,” which was met with enthusiastic applause. He also performed his well-known hit “Fall,” which received a strong reaction from the crowd.

In a lineup primarily focused on electronic, alternative, and pop music, Davido’s performance was a notable representation of Afrobeats, emphasizing the genre’s established presence. As the only Afrobeats artist in the lineup, he served as a key representative of the genre, contrasting with previous editions that showcased a broader array of African talent.

Before his performance, Davido expressed the significance of the occasion, stating, “I’m proud to be representing Africa at one of the biggest festivals in North America. It’s my first time performing at Coachella, and I’m excited to bring the energy of Nigeria and Lagos to the global stage.”
